Leg Warmers--Are they Back?

Image
I think leg warmer's are back. Is it because we like them as an added accessory or is it because they help us keep warm since we had to lower the temperature to reduce the gas or electric bill? Well for whatever reason they are back. I'm running a special on leg warmers so I can make room for more. LOL They are now half price. For only $4 you can own a pair of designer one or two-of-a-kind!

Circular Scarf

Image
This is one of my new and latest designs. It is very functional yet classy at the same time. You can wear it many different ways. It you double it around neck it gives you added warmth and protection from the cold. A single wrap will dress up a simple black dress or top. I wish I had designed this before Christmas because it would make a perfect gift for that someone special.

LOL Thanks!

My Song

Chorus: Praise God! Thank God! I serve a God of second chances. What He did for me He can do for you. It took me forty years to learn to live He set me free! I lost my todays to worries about tomorrow Tomorrows turn into yesterdays Yesterdays into faded memories I want to break the cycle that bound me all these years I can see its not to late for me God has healed me and Changed my heart. He set me free He gave me His PEACE The PEACE that passes all understanding He removed the chains that bound me The chains that never let me live Or realize the joy, blessings and treasures That today holds for me! He taught me that there are no guarantees Treasure every moment Enjoy it! Live it! Once today turns into yesterday It's gone forever Never to be relived Don't live in the past -- or in regret It's never too late to turn you life over to Jesus So he can heal you and take away your pain! And in return he give you His PEACE --the PEACE that Passes all Understanding!! Praise God!

What if...the fuss?

Okay so I'm walking up the stairs & I see a piece of fuss. I go to pick it up & I think, "What if it's not a piece of fuss?", Oh, the, "What if's!", do they keep your life interesting or keep you from moving on? To make a long story short I did pick up the fuss and it was a piece of fuss! Sometimes we need to look past the, "What if's!"

Lorraine's Original Apron Design

Image
Here is how it all started. I had to make two aprons for the Chili Cook-off winners (one green and one red chili winner). The first ones I made were too feminine so I had to come up with an idea that worked well for either male or female winners. Well time was running out. LOL Which always seems to be the case. I was at the store trying to figure out how I could make a chili apron and nothing really came to me The next thing I knew I was leaving with several kitchen towels, 2 hand towels and several oven mitts. As you can see in the pictures this is what evolved from all this stuff. Please let me know what you think. I'm going to make my own patterns and sell them if you're interested let me know. Thanks!

/t-shirt to Pillow Case

Image
This is an awesome idea! T-shirts make the best pillow case because they are so soft and usually 100% cotton. It's a neat way to use a t-shirt that your child might have outgrown or if it gets paint on it yet you hate to throw it away. This is a fast an easy project for any sewing level! Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Now How the Dress and Blouse Evolved

Image
I already wrote this blog and didn't save as I was editing pictures and I lost it. LOL I just love when that happens. I just got the crestless pumpkin pie baking that the kids begged me to make so now I can redo this! I had the velor dress that is nicely embellished but it was a too big. I need an occassion to wear it before I worked on it to make it fit me. So the other day Randy and I were invited to attend a fundraiser formal dinner at the CSU Ballroom. Well with the weather a little chill I need a light jacket to wear because the dress has spaghetti straps. I took the dress in on the side seam, crisscrossed the straps at the back to take up the slack and I added a silver ruffle to the top of the bodice at neckline to tie in the silver jacket I made to wear with the dress. With the silver blouse I cut off about 9 to 10 inches, turned up to form a casing that I added elastic to so it make the jacket more fitted. I added 1/2" black ribbon to tie the jacket close with a bow. W
