One Shirt to Three purses

Image
I can't believe I got three purses out of this top. I have been busy sewing all day and I can keep going! It's fun to do something you love. It's recreating for me that is so fun. I think I'll use the big purse not sure it's me but I'll give it a try!

Finally done...

Wow, I finally got two apron give-aways and one apron for my helper Mari P. I have been sewing all day and loving ever minute!! I'm so glad that I got them done because I have to take two of my machines in for servicing this week. I don't know what I'm going to do with out them. I have others but these two are my favorite. Two full length aprons and the one at the bottom is a half apron.

Jacket to Apron

Image
Yesterday I made an apron from a dress. Well today I made an apron from the jacket that went with the dress. I made two aprons for the 4th of July celebration Chili cook-off and Pie bake-off winners. This one turned out so cute I thought I would keep this one for myself so I can wear on the 4th of July. So now I have to make another apron for the 4th. Time is running out!! LOL I used the front of the jacket for the top of the apron and the back of the jacket became the bottom. I used a decorative USA flag cotton fabric for the ties. Please let me know that you think. Thanks!

From dress to guess what...

I can't help that my passion is recreating. This apron will be given away to the the Pueblo West 4th of July Chili Cook-off/Pie Bake-off winners. I was assigned to help with theChili Cook-off/Pie Bake-off portion of the event. There will be a lot of other fun things to do. I thought since I make a lot of one-of-a-kind aprons I would make an apron for the winners of each division. It should be a lot of fun! Come out enter your chili or pie and see if you can win. I have to make another apron too. Take a look at the before and after pictures and tell me what you think. Thanks!

Skirt and top what will they be?

I have this adorable white cotton skirt cut on angles and this purple camisole top. With some ribbon and other embellishments I think they will make a really really cute apron. I might just have to keep this one. Who knows. I really do grow attached to my aprons I'm not sure when I might part with them. I seem to love them all. But realistically you don't need as many aprons as I have, right?

Another one for the Crock Pot no pun intended

I tried another fantastic recipe for the crock pot. Chicken and Vegetable Chowder. 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1" pieces 14.5 oz reduced-sodium chicken broth (1 can) 10.75 oz condensed cream of potatoe soup, undiluted 1 pkg frozen (10 oz) broccoli florets, thawed 1 C sliced carrots 1 jar (4.5 oz) sliced mushrooms, drained 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/2 cup whole kernel corn 2 cloves garlic, minced 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves 1/3 c half-and-half Combine chicken, broth, soup, broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, onion, corn, garlic and thyme in crock-pot slower cooker, mixed well. Cover and cook on low 5 to 6 hours Stir in half-in-half, cover, cook on high for 15 minutes or until heated through. You can add 1/2 cup shredded Swiss or Cheddar cheese just before serving, stir over low heat until melted. YUMMY, YUMMY! Let me know if you try it and like it.

Zipper Charms

Fun to make! I love to buy jewelry findings, charms and beads so it's nice when I can make something and sell them. Today I sold some charms so it inspired to make more! It's nice to be able to support my habit. LOL Let me know what you think!
