I have designed a new pattern.  You can either purchase new zipper or us old zippers.  It's really FUN and FAST! Supply list 1 – 5” metal,  molded tooth or coil zipper* (zipper size is left up to you the designer – for example: large #8 get more noticed and are more masculine, smaller #5 are dainty so it’s up to you)!  *You can also use the smaller coil zipper and cut to 6” length ¼” yard of nylon webbing or cotton webbing* *when using cotton webbing there is more work to finish the raw edge so keep that in mind 2 – 1” “D” rings to match FUN ZIPPER BRACELET  APPROXIMATELY 1 HOUR PROJECT DESIGNED BY Lorraine Giannetto-Glach www.lorrainesthis2that.blogspot.com Pattern #130 A simple yet fun project to make.  Maybe you have a sentimental outfit that is either worn out or out of style – take the zippers out and have some FUN! Leg Warmers and Purse from Plaid Sweater

When it's time to retire a sweater the best way is to recycle or repurpose it. The best part when repurposing is that you take something old and make it new. You become a designer! I added a knit ribbing cuff to both ends, finished 1". The purse shape and design depends on the sweater. This particular sweater was a button cardigan and I wanted to utilize the buttons for the purse closure. I buttoned the sweater and folded it so that the button flap was at about 2" from the top fold. I cut a semi-circle. Finish off the raw edge with a 1" or thicker grosgrain ribbon. This ribbon has a white pasley print on it and I thought it would work. Measure around your curved portion and add to that...

From Plain to Jane

The original dress was quite simple but I wanted to change it up a bit. I shortened the black jacket and the material I removed I added to the bottom of the dress. I bought approximately 4 yards of a beautiful trim with cord and sequin. I embellished both the dress and jacket with that trim. The material I cut off from the dress I used to make rosettes to embellish the purse and shoes. It was a fun project.
